About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our cardiology team. This role combines clinical support with administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth workflow and a high-quality patient experience.
What You’ll Do
- Obtain and accurately document patient vitals
- Perform EKGs and assist with other cardiac testing or procedures
- Support clinical workflow in an outpatient practice, including EMR documentation
- Maintain professional relationships with outside offices, referring providers, imaging centers, and labs
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Assist with prior authorizations, procedure coordination, and patient preparation
- Multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced cardiology environment
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
- Ability to obtain and document accurate patient vitals
- Experience performing EKGs
- Basic understanding of clinical workflow in an outpatient practice
- Comfortable using EMR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and accountability
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy specialty clinic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cardiology or a specialty clinic
- Familiarity with cardiac patient histories and medications
- Holter/event monitors
- Experience assisting with cardiac procedures and testing
- Knowledge of prior authorizations or procedure coordination
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required if experience is strong)
