Job Summary

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service
- Operate the cash register (POS system) to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
- Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure store cleanliness and organization
- Conduct basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and change accuracy
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or store calls professionally
- Promote store products through merchandising efforts and suggestive selling techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and store policies during all operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store environments, or cashier roles is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for team coordination roles
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively, especially spanish
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management practices
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory tasks
- Experience in grocery stores or retail sales transactions enhances your fit for this role
