Looking for an energetic person to help 2/2:30-5:30, Monday-Friday in our aftercare program. This is a perfect job for a high school or college student looking for experience working with children. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, have dependable transportation and be willing to complete all necessary steps to work in a licensed childcare program. There is a high probability of additional hours or sub work as needed for those that are interested in additional opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom with various tasks
- Provide support and supervision to children during activities and transitions
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to meet the needs of students
Requirements:
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of children
- Patience and understanding when working with diverse student populations
- Experience in theater, sports coaching, babysitting, tutoring, daycare, or related fields is a plus
