The Department of Computer Science is seeking a part-time research assistant. The individual in this position will work on research on the reasoning capacities of Large Audio-Language Models (LALMs), conduct literature reviews to identify state-of-the-art baselines and open gaps in multimodal understanding. The research assistant will design and develop novel algorithms for audio-text alignment and complex reasoning followed by executing large-scale training and evaluation experiments on high-performance GPU clusters. The research assistant ultimately will synthesize their experimental findings to lead or co-author high-quality scientific papers for publication and presentation at top-tier AI and machine learning conferences.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
