About Harbor View Home Solutions
Harbor View Home Solutions is the Orange County expansion of Flatiron Home Solutions, a systems-driven residential remodeling company.
This is our second location, built on an established operating system for marketing, sales, design, estimating, project management, and client communication.
We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, additions, and other high-value residential remodeling projects.
We are not simply looking for a remodeling salesperson.
We are looking for a design-minded, entrepreneurial consultant who wants to help build the Orange County market, take ownership of the client experience, and grow into a meaningful leadership role as the company expands.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone with experience in remodeling sales, kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, design-build, interior design, or another high-consideration residential sales environment.
You know how to walk into a homeowner’s house, understand what they are trying to accomplish, identify possibilities they may not see, and guide them toward a clear and thoughtful decision.
You are comfortable moving between design, construction, client relationships, and significant project investments. You can discuss budget directly when needed, but your focus is always on helping the homeowner make an informed decision and feel confident throughout the process.
We are looking for someone who thinks beyond the individual appointment.
You take ownership of the client relationship, follow through without being chased, identify opportunities, build local relationships, improve the process, and care about the long-term success of the Orange County location.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants the autonomy and upside of helping build a new market without having to start a company completely from scratch.
What You’ll Do
You will own the client relationship from the initial consultation through signed contract, completed selections, and production handoff.
You will:
- Run structured in-home consultations
- Understand each client’s goals, priorities, timeline, and investment expectations
- Measure existing spaces and develop design concepts
- Create floor plans, elevations, and other project drawings
- Develop project scopes with estimating and production
- Present proposals, guide decisions, and close projects
- Guide clients through the selection process
- Document decisions and deliver a clear production handoff
- Build relationships with local showrooms, vendors, and referral partners
- Help improve the sales, design, and client experience systems
Qualified appointments will be generated through company marketing, referrals, professional relationships, events, community outreach, and digital channels.
You will not be expected to cold-call random homeowners or generate the entire pipeline independently. You will be expected to follow up consistently, ask for referrals, recognize opportunities, and help create momentum in the market.
Who We’re Looking For
The right person understands both people and projects.
You have a strong design eye, but you are not simply a decorator. You can measure an existing space, develop practical layouts, produce professional drawings, explain design tradeoffs, and confidently guide a homeowner through important decisions.
You understand that this is both a design and sales position. You are comfortable presenting a significant project investment, answering difficult questions, and asking for the business without relying on pressure-based sales tactics.
You are organized enough to manage multiple clients, maintain accurate documentation, and follow a defined process. You are entrepreneurial enough to identify opportunities, solve problems, and help shape how the local business grows.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of relevant remodeling, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, design-build, showroom, interior design, or high-ticket residential sales experience
- Strong residential design and space-planning ability
- Experience using CAD or comparable design software to create floor plans and elevations
- Experience presenting design concepts and proposals to homeowners
- Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at different stages
- Comfort using CRM, estimating, and project management software
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel throughout Orange County, with occasional travel to North County San Diego
Experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, Revit, or similar software is relevant. The specific platform matters less than your ability to independently measure a space and turn it into clear, professional drawings that clients and the production team can understand.
Experience with high-end remodeling, whole-home projects, additions, or Southern California showrooms and vendors is also valuable.
Ownership Mentality
We want someone who approaches the role as though the success of the location matters personally.
That means taking responsibility for follow-through, recognizing problems before they grow, improving the client experience, building relationships that create future opportunities, and helping the team succeed.
You should want more than a traditional sales position. You should want to help establish the standard, influence how the company develops, train future team members, and grow into a larger leadership role as the Orange County market expands.
The Right Fit
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Want to help build something, not just work assigned appointments
- Want more ownership than your current role allows
- Enjoy both design and sales
- Can balance empathy with directness
- Care deeply about the homeowner’s experience
- Follow through without repeated reminders
- Look for ways to improve systems
- Are entrepreneurial, adaptable, and coachable
- Want your responsibility and opportunity to grow with the market
This is not the right role for someone who only wants to focus on design, avoids discussing project investments, relies on high-pressure sales tactics, resists documentation, or wants to remain inside a narrowly defined job description.
We are looking for someone who can combine design judgment, sales confidence, organization, and genuine care for the homeowner.
Compensation and Growth
This position offers a salary plus 2% commission on approved contract value, with expected total annual compensation of $90,000–$130,000.
The position also includes:
- Paid time off
- Company-provided technology
- Paid training and professional development
- Opportunity to grow into senior sales, design, or market leadership
The first several months will involve learning the operating system, developing local relationships, running consultations, selling the first projects, and helping establish the Harbor View client experience in Orange County.
As the market grows, the right person will have the opportunity to help train future consultants, improve systems, and take on greater leadership.
Project Types
You will primarily work on:
- Kitchen and bathroom remodels
- Whole-home renovations
- Interior reconfigurations
- Additions
- Custom cabinetry projects
- High-value remodeling projects in occupied homes
This is not a bath-liner, replacement-product, or one-day remodeling sales position.
Pay: $96,376.67 - $116,066.53 per year
