Purpose of the Position
Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for maintaining the quantity of sand available for production by relocating product to the appropriate areas.
Essential Functions
- Safely operate front end loader, excavator, haul truck, skid steer, backhoe, forklift, telehandler and bulldozer.
- Perform appropriate pre-shift equipment examinations.
- Grease and fuel equipment when needed.
- Perform plant maintenance as directed, including assisting shift mechanic with repairs as extra set of hands.
- Maintain safe, neat and orderly work areas in and around the facility.
- Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as described during training.
- Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws.
- Perform housekeeping as directed.
- Commit to and support company’s Quality Policy and Objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Specification (Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Previous experience operating a skid steer loader, forklift, bobcat and other small power equipment preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
