Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments
- Lead teams through projects to identify and resolve safety risks in food safety and human safety
- Maintain expertise on multiple unit operations/systems; demonstrate mastery on some systems, teach others, and drive incremental value to customers
- Lead equipment sanitation activities, inspect sanitation quality, and set up complex systems
- Perform maintenance, electrical, and controls with a technical focus
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sanitation experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift consistently & repeatedly, manipulate & transport ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs
- Comfortable working in a pilot plant or production environment
- Self-confident in autonomously operating equipment
- Able to assess and troubleshoot technical and mechanical problems
- Basic proficiency in computer skills (Office Suite and other programs)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and human safety practices
- Experience working in team environments to achieve results
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach, train, and develop others
- Translate technical expertise into business impact
- Excellent communication skills with peers and customers
- Adaptability to dynamic work environments
