LADSE is seeking paraprofessionals to work with students with disabilities in a variety of settings. Paras are needed to work with students that are on the Autism Spectrum, students with Significant Multiple Disabilities, Early Childhood Education, and students with Behavioral/Emotional needs. - This is NOT for our DHH/ASL para location, there will be another job posting for that if there is an opening.
The pay rate $17.00 per hour, with benefits. Full-time positions are available. Typical hours are 8:15am - 3:15pm, unless in the Emotional Disabilities program, which is 8:25am - 3:25pm.

Qualifications:
- We can help you get your para license if you don't already hold an Illinois Substitute Teaching License or an Illinois Educator License endorsed for paraprofessionals.

No experience is needed, just the ability to work well with students. On-the-job training is provided, as provided by the teacher in the classroom.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

This job posting is NOT for ASL/DHH para openings, that would be handled directly by our DHH department. To ensure the safety and security of students and staff, this position requires the ability to quickly detect, identify, and respond to auditory cues, emergency alarms, and verbal security directives.

This position is very physical and requires agility and lifting to maintain the safety and keep up with the demands of Special Education students.
