What does an IT Technician 2 do?
Troubleshoot advanced computer and network problems
Provide L2 help desk support
Provide mentoring/training for L1 help desk support
Provide advanced Active Directory setup and administration
Be the model for excellent written documentation
Liaison with 3rd party vendors in order to support the customer
Assist and take major roles in projects
Above all, work with team members to ensure a positive internal and external customer experience
Are you a fit for this role? We are seeking someone with the following experience:
5+ years in a technical support role
Extensive experience with setup and administration of Windows Servers, Active Directory, firewalls/routers, and core network protocols
Intimate understanding of small/medium network designs
Extensive experience with backup solutions and concepts
Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining organization even when things are hectic
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
Highly desired: MCSE or MCITP Certification
Highly desired: Experience in an IT Services company (aka Managed Service Provider)
