Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Land Development Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, permitting, and construction of residential and mixed-use land development projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional coordination skills to deliver multiple active projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable in the field, in front of city officials, and in executive meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of land development projects from conceptual planning through final turnover to builders.
- Coordinate civil engineering, surveying, utility design, and environmental consultants to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee contractor bidding, contracting, and performance to ensure quality, safety, and cost control.
- Interface with municipal staff, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and resolve field issues.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and milestone summaries to company leadership.
- Collaborate closely with accounting and finance teams to track draws, payables, and cost variances.
- Support strategic planning for future land acquisitions by evaluating infrastructure requirements and development feasibility.
- Maintain strong relationships with builders, city officials, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Preferred: Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential or mixed-use land development project management.
- Strong understanding of civil design, site grading, drainage, utilities, and municipal permitting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict adherence to budgets and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; confident in meetings with city staff, contractors, and executives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word), Bluebeam, and project management tools; CAD familiarity preferred.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability in every aspect of project execution.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
