Job Overview
We are a family oriented private orthodontic practice located in the heart of Missouri City. We are looking for a detail-oriented, upbeat, dependable and experienced orthodontic assistant to join our team. Interested applicants should be willing to work at least 4 days a week and have a minimum of two years of orthodontic assisting experience.
Duties
- Assist orthodontist(s) during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance installations, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Take digital 2D and 3D dental X-rays, including 3D digital intra-oral scans (e.g. iTero scanner), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic care and explain treatment procedures using clear dental terminology.
- Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
