Class A CDL Driver
Job Summary
Class A CDL Driver needed for local/regional deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Reports to work on time with appropriate attire, (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves).
- Operates equipment safely and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
- Maintains and cares for delivery vehicle.
- Ensures that the material is loaded correctly and secured without damage in such a way that the truck can be unloaded in an orderly fashion upon arrival at the customer’s site.
- Oversees the unloading of material at the customer’s site.
- Verifies the correct material and quantity per the packing slip on both pick up and deliveries.
- Verifies correct material is delivered to the customer and collects signature as proof of delivery.
- Returns signed packing slips to Shipping at the end of the run.
- Verifies quantity and product when sent to pick up material from the customer or supplier
- Follows all DOT restrictions and regulations
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills * Class A Commercial Drivers License
- Must possess a good driving record
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Must possess a good work ethic, and provide courteous service to customers & other drivers on the road.
- Minimum of two years experience in driving truck & trailer, bobtails, & flatbeds.
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
- Must be able to sit up to 90% of the day.
- Must be able to work in unheated or non-air conditioned areas.
