Purpose
This position is responsible for ensuring a safe resort environment by controlling incoming and outgoing traffic consistent with the rules of the community. This position is supervised by the A.S.C. Manager and is under the daily guidance of the Security Lead.
Duties
· Gate Security
· Report for duty at least 5 minutes prior to start of the shift to support shift change.
· Review the Incident Log and Security Bulletin Board upon reporting for duty. Review last shift activity with the Security Guard that you are relieving.
· Confirm and provide approved entry for visitors, renters, owners; licensed contractors, service personnel and vendors with permits.
· Maintain a daily report of activities for the duration of a normal shift
· Complete a detailed incident report for any occurrence/incident of a non-routine nature.
· Monitor the other gates by using the cameras that are installed at each gate.
· Security Services
· Provide emergency support for any emergencies and all 911 calls (police, fire department and paramedics). Render whatever assistance is required until incident has been brought to conclusion.
· Provide detailed report of actions and communications to authorities and involved individuals in all emergencies.
· Communicates with patrol via radio as needed.
· Maintain a first aid kit and ABC fire extinguisher at the main gate. Be trained in use of this emergency equipment.
· Report all unsafe situations to a Supervisor
· Immediately report any malfunction of any gates (Broadway, Idaho, or 16th Ave). to GM, Security Lead or A.S.C. Manager
· Operate golf cart for the performance of security duties:
· Golf carts
· During the day, golf carts are to be used by rovers. On the night shift a lighted golf cart will be used.
· Must wear designated security shirt
· Main Gate Officer
The main gate officer will be stationed at the front gate controlling the entrance to the community by using the gate, computers, phones and passes. The gate Officer should obtain any and all information from the prior shift and review the information from the daily log. The Officer has the authority to deny anyone access to the property providing they cannot show a valid reason for entry. All visitors and contractors need to be logged in regardless of being regulars or not.
Main Gate Officer duties
· Open/close incoming Idaho gate.
· Open/close side gate.
· Test gate console for entry.
· Set computer up/close down.
· Issue contractor day pass.
· Issue visitor/guest-parking pass.
· Log contractors on traffic log.
· Log consists of name, location, license, time in, and time out.
· Log visitors on traffic log.
· In an emergency call 911.
· Direct people to a location.
· Issue park maps.
· Communicate on the radio to various departments.
· Call volunteers when they need equipment from the garden shop.
Any Other Duties As Assigned

Skills/Qualifications
· Minimum three years of experience providing security services
· Self-directed; able to follow a set assigned work schedule and perform duties with minimal direction
· Able to establish and maintain a positive, cooperative, and courteous working relationship with residents, guests, vendors, and contractors
· Ability to communicate clearly; tactful and respectful; persuasive rather than directive
· Must be in good physical health with the ability to stand for several hours each day, climb, bend, pick up or move moderately heavy equipment and materials. Ability to endure outdoor weather conditions as needed to perform duties.
· Must be able and licensed to drive security vehicles (golf carts) Maintain First Aid, defibrillator, and CPR training.
· Skilled in the use of a computer to input data as required for the production of various reports.
· Must be bondable
