Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu options, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and food selections.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, including cocktails and wine pairings, adhering to safety standards.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, process sales transactions efficiently, and handle cash or card payments responsibly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities by recommending specialty drinks or premium selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning bar areas, and following food safety protocols in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with food service when needed, including food presentation and basic food preparation tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Prior experience in serving or bartending roles is highly desirable; culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus.
