About the Role
BCFoods is seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Sales, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, and Manufacturing to identify and resolve inventory and supply issues.
- Maintain and update Item Master data to support accurate inventory planning, purchasing, and reporting.
- Review sales forecasts, customer demand, inventory levels, open purchase orders, and supplier lead times to maintain adequate product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Create and evaluate inventory reports to identify trends, shortages, excess inventory, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with Manufacturing to recommend increases or decreases in production based on demand and available inventory.
- Monitor raw materials and finished goods and help investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain and support inventory policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Continuously review inventory processes and recommend improvements to accuracy, efficiency, product availability, and cost control.
- Three to five years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, order management, customer service, or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, food ingredient, distribution, warehouse, or import/export environment.
- Experience reviewing inventory levels, purchase orders, customer demand, sales forecasts, supplier lead times, or shipment activity.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees across multiple departments.
- Ability to identify inventory concerns and follow issues through resolution.Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:
- Food ingredients or food manufacturing
- Raw materials and finished goods planning
