Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and schedule the activities of the Body Shop
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with several insurance adjusters
- Train, motivate, and monitor the performance of all \"Body Shop staff,\" ensuring personnel have a thorough understanding of their duties and responsibilities
- Present self as a role model by demonstrating leadership and commitment to the customer, dealership, and manufacturer
- Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles
- Manage Technician productivity
- Prioritize work to ensure that deadlines are met
- Effective vehicle production and inventory control
- Understand, keep up to date with and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect Body Shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal. Right-to-Know and environmental updates
Requirements:
- Five years of experience in a Collision Repair Facility
- Must have valid Connecticut Appraiser's License
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Excellent communication, supervisory and managerial skills
- Working knowledge of body repair methods
- Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines
- Proficient knowledge of dealership's computer systems
- Must have valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record, and safe driving habits to drive both customer vehicles and a demonstrator vehicle
- Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity
