Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to uphold the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure physical security across the site
- Control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities and performing background checks as needed
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing emergency response procedures, including fire safety, AED operation, CPR, and first aid
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
- Perform conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques to resolve disputes peacefully
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents while maintaining compliance with security regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly preferred
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV monitoring and access control systems
- Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and trained in emergency response procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical security duties
- Knowledge of firearm handling, taser use, and other security equipment is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
