American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical (Renal) position requiring Epic experience and a valid GA or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit with a renal patient focus
-
Adult to geriatric patient population
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on a 49-bed unit with an average daily census of 48
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

EMR: Epic (required); Pyxis and SBAR also utilized
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
-
No on-call requirements
-
Active GA or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them — no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler

No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permitted — the posted shift is firm

Navy blue scrubs required

No schedule requests or RTO during the first week of the assignment
