Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, trend-savvy, and self-motivated E-Commerce Resale Specialist to manage our online storefronts across popular secondhand platforms. In this role, you will identify, research, list, and sell a wide and ever-changing selection of vintage/collectible, designer, and on-trend items. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with efficient time management skills, has a deep passion for the circular economy, an eye for authenticity, and the appetite to research all that's needed in order to maximize the value of every item.
Key Responsibilities
- Curation & Research: Identify high-value vintage, designer, and on-trend apparel, accessories, or collectibles.
- Market Pricing: Research historical data and current market trends to set competitive, profitable prices.
- Authentication: Verify product authenticity using research on online databases, serial numbers, and material indicators.
- Listing Optimization: Create high-quality, keyword-rich listings on platforms like eBay, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, etc.
- Visual Merchandising: Stage, photograph, and edit clean, appealing product images that attract buyers.
- Inventory Management: Organize, track, and update digital and physical inventory across multiple sales channels.
- Customer Service: Respond to buyer inquiries promptly, negotiate offers politely, and maintain high seller ratings.
- Shipping & Logistics: Package sold items securely and ship them promptly according to platform guidelines.
Qualifications
- Platform Expertise: Proven experience buying and/or selling on platforms like eBay, Poshmark, Depop, The RealReal, Mercari, etc.
- Trend Awareness: Strong knowledge of high-resale items, fashion eras, luxury brands, streetwear culture, and current aesthetics.
- Research Skills: Highly resourceful at investigating obscure brands, missing labels, and fair market value.
- Tech Savvy: Familiar with cross-listing tools, photo editing apps, and spreadsheet tracking.
- Detail Oriented: Sharp eye for spotting flaws, counterfeit items, and unique product features.
- Self-Starter: High energy, self-motivated, and capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Friendly Flexibility: User-friendly demeanor and overall flexibility while the department grows and evolves its online presence.
