Real estate looks flexible from the outside. Inside, it is a follow-up business, and brokerages that pretend otherwise burn through agents. Mantle Realty is hiring real estate agents at our Lexington office, 7224 Old U.S. Hwy 52, serving Davidson County and the surrounding Triad: commission-only, 1099, and trained like it matters. New, experienced, or still in your NC prelicensing course, you are welcome to apply.
Pay structure first: there is no salary here. This is 1099 work and income comes from closed transactions. The commission split gets discussed one on one before you commit, with the whole picture on the table: training, lead opportunities, marketing, broker access. There are no desk fees, and it costs nothing to apply or interview.
About Mantle Realty
Mantle is an independent, locally owned brokerage, serving the Triad since 2014 from offices in Lexington, High Point, and Kernersville. Around here that means Davidson County clients get an agent whose brokerage actually knows Davidson County, and yes, office conversation includes strong barbecue opinions. Bring yours.
We hold one line hard: we don't practice on clients. New or experienced, agents rehearse contracts, consultations, and listing presentations in training and role-play before running them live. Support here means broker access, systems, and honest feedback. It does not mean babysitting, and it does not mean being left alone after onboarding either.
Community is not a marketing line. Mantle agents collect prom dresses for local students through the Prom Project, host Pancakes and PJs every year, and show up at local schools and events because we live here too.
What agents receive
- Direct access to a non-competing broker for contract and deal questions, before mistakes reach clients.
- Boot Camp: 15 in-person modules on contracts, buyer and seller processes, NC due diligence, and pricing. The standard is completion in your first 30 days, tailored if you are experienced.
- Tuesday Training weekly at 9 AM with the broker-owner, recorded if you miss it.
- Role-play and contract reps, on purpose, on a schedule.
- Real Geeks CRM set up with you, plus follow-up systems.
- Free lead opportunities tied to response speed, CRM use, and follow-up. Consistent agents get more.
- Marketing and content support, with an in-house video studio available at headquarters.
Plain-English conditions: leads supplement prospecting rather than replace it, CRM use is required, and training is attended, not admired from a distance.
What you will do
- Prospect and follow up daily, then follow up again
- Respond to clients and leads quickly

Who fits here
People who do what they said they would do. New agents who want a structured launch instead of a desk and a shrug. Experienced agents who want colleagues instead of thirty competitors under one roof. People who like a small-town client base and treat it accordingly.
Who may not fit
Someone who needs salary-level certainty this year. Someone hoping the CRM, the leads, or the trainer will do the daily work. Someone who wants a brokerage address for their license and nothing else. That is a real preference, just not one we serve.
Qualifications
Required: 18 or older; active NC real estate license or current enrollment in the 75-hour NC prelicensing course; reliable transportation; comfort with commission-only income.
Preferred: licensed experience; CRM familiarity; Davidson County or Triad roots.
Can be completed after selection: affiliation, MLS and association membership, Boot Camp.
Compensation and expenses
Commission-only, 1099. Split discussed privately with full context. No desk fees. No fees to apply or interview. Mantle charges a single monthly technology fee, and nothing else. Agents pay their own licensing costs, MLS and association dues, and ordinary self-employed expenses to third parties. For unlicensed applicants, NC prelicensing typically runs about $650 to $900 total to the school, the Commission, and the exam vendor.
Application process
Apply on Indeed and answer the screeners. Applications are reviewed by the broker-owner or our Broker-in-Charge, who reaches out for a conversation at the office or by phone, where you will get direct answers, including about the split. Conversations with agents currently at other brokerages stay confidential.
Mantle Realty is an equal opportunity brokerage. Candidates are evaluated on licensing eligibility, skills, and business factors, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, family status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
