Position Summary
Southeastern Plumbing, Heating & A.C. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager with a strong background in commercial and industrial plumbing systems. This individual must have knowledge of commercial plumbing installation, project sequencing, and code compliance to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project delivery.
The Commercial Plumbing Project Manager will lead the successful execution of projects from post-award turnover through closeout. This includes on job sites (approximately 20–40%) to support field operations, coordinate with foremen, and collaborate with general contractors and other trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project turnover meetings with estimators to review scope, estimates, proposals, schedules, and subcontractor agreements.
- Review mechanical plans and submittals thoroughly and communicate critical information to the assigned field foreman.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings, scheduling and other coordination meetings.
- Prepare and manage submittals, budget forecasts, invoices, progress reports, and cost-to-complete reports, etc.
- Approve field employee job cost sheets and ensure accuracy.
- Regularly visit job sites to ensure work is being performed according to plan, schedule, and safety protocols. Approximately 20-40% of your time will be spent on our job sites.
- Coordinate construction activities with subcontractors and third-party service providers to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
- Attend GC/Owner meetings to monitor project status and communicate any concerns or needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and prevent delays.
- Manage project mobilization and demobilization, inspections, and ensure timely delivery of closeout documentation, including “As-Built” drawings.
- Track and manage change orders, ensuring written approvals are obtained before proceeding.
- Uphold company policies and OSHA safety regulations; enforce code and quality standards on all job sites.
- Provide clear documentation and timely updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Take full responsibility for the successful outcome of each assigned project

- Compliance with all applicable regulations and internal procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial plumbing/mechanical construction.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and installation standards.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe PDF, Bluebeam tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs and physically verify on-site installations.
- Willingness to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military veterans are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Procore project management platform or other similar platforms.
- Previous field experience as a mechanic or foreman is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical, Engineering, Construction Management paired with a minimum of (5) five years direct project management experience in the Commercial/Industrial Construction Industry.

Location Requirements
- Must be able to reliably commute to Charlotte, NC or relocate with employer-provided assistance.
- Must be able to commute to job sites in/around Charlotte, NC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
