- As a Banquet Server, you’ll help bring some of our guests’ most important moments to life. From weddings and celebrations to conferences and special events, you’ll be part of the team responsible for delivering thoughtful, seamless service while creating memorable experiences.
- You’ll work closely with Banquet Captains, culinary, stewarding, and fellow Curators to execute each event according to the guest’s expectations and event specifications. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to anticipate needs will help ensure every plate, glass, table, and guest interaction reflects our luxury standards.
Education and Experience
- Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or luxury hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event timelines, menus, and service instructions.
- Strong guest service and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Banquet Captains, servers, culinary, stewarding, and other hotel departments.
- Must obtain and maintain any required state or local alcohol service permits or certifications, such as TABC, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent.
- Must obtain and maintain any required state or local food service certifications, such as a Food Handler Card, ServSafe certification, or equivalent.
- Must maintain a polished appearance and adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This is an active, guest-facing position performed primarily in banquet and event spaces. The role requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent interaction with guests and team members, and the ability to safely handle food, beverages, glassware, trays, and service equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an event.
- Ability to lift and carry trays, glassware, dishes, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to safely maneuver trays, carts, and other service equipment.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to perform precise food and beverage service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining a polished and professional demeanor.
- Ability to safely navigate banquet spaces while carrying food, beverages, and equipment.
- Ability to follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and food and beverage handling requirements.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable to job responsibilities.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with hotel grooming and uniform standards.
