PDP Engineering specializes in public transportation infrastructure, including ports, rail, transit, and highways. We work alongside leading primes on high-profile Southern California programs, and we're expanding our design team out of our Irvine office.
We're hiring a licensed civil engineer to lead Civil 3D corridor modeling for roadway and railroad corridor projects. This is a senior technical role, and we're open on level: we'll bring the right person in as an Engineer III or Engineer IV, with title and compensation set to match your experience and depth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering on complex roadway and rail corridor projects
- Build and manage Civil 3D corridor models: alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and surfaces
- Review and approve calculations, drawings, and reports
- Serve as technical point of contact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers
- Support project managers in scope development, scheduling, and budgeting
For candidates at the Engineer IV level, the role expands to include:
- Technical direction and QA/QC oversight on major projects
- Developing and enforcing company standards and best practices for corridor modeling
- Supporting business development through technical proposals and client presentations
- Representing the firm as a subject-matter expert
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; advanced degree a plus for the Engineer IV level
- 5 to 10+ years of civil design experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong Civil 3D proficiency, specifically corridor modeling for roadways or rail (4+ years of experience required)
- Experience on public agency or transportation infrastructure projects

Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
