Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality coffee and beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will contribute to an exceptional café experience, ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, workstations, and dining spaces.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Stay informed about menu offerings, promotions, and new products to effectively communicate with customers.
Requirements
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
- Previous experience in sales or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Experience in cash handling is essential for maintaining financial accuracy.
- A genuine passion for coffee and knowledge of café culture is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
