Home every night and helping the community every day! 6am to 2:30pm for most shifts
The Galveston County Food Bank is seeking highly skilled and self-motivated individual to join our team.
Position expectations:
* Load and unload products to and from warehouse via commercial trucks, trailers, vans and operation of all warehouse equipment
* Maintain organization and cleanliness of trucks, warehouses and orders
*Assist mobile food distributions and food sorts
*Utilizes mobile equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, golf carts, vans and box trucks
*Works directly with clients and volunteers
*Ability to complete paperwork in timely manner
*Dependable and comes in on time
*This position is not considered an office position. It is set in and outside of a warehouse which is not temperature controlled (HOT in summer, COLD in winter)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Class A Drivers License with current medical card
Clear background/driving check and random drug testing
Ability to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs.
Minimum 2 year of safe driving history with the ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles
Skills and experience we like to see:
Motivated with a positive attitude, dependable, and able to work alone or on a team
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Diligent attention to safety
Electric pallet jack experience a plus
Forklift experience a plus
Flexible schedule; occasional Saturdays and evenings required.
