Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Sheet-Metal Mechanic & Experience Helper to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, ductwork, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical and HVAC systems across commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and modify sheet-metal ductwork, ventilation systems, and HVAC equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation controls
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems related to HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal operation of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units and associated components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and system diagrams to guide installation and repair work
- Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for accountability and future reference
Qualifications
- Must have all HVAC Tools
- Must have PPE
- Reliable Transportation
- Experience of years: 1-3 or "+"
- Journeyman HVAC certification (PLUS not required)
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC or sheet-metal work; prior service technician experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and building automation systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, as well as diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
- Experience with electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting within HVAC/R environments
- Familiarity with electrical systems involved in HVAC/R operations; experience with electrical system repair is advantageous
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
