The ideal candidate should be able to strike a balance between being a fun and engaging with the kiddos in our care and responsible to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Additionally, the ideal candidates have available to begin work as early as 7:30am and work as late as 9:00pm. Current scheduling needs requires availability to work on Saturdays. This is temporary for summer with the potential to continue with closing shifts after August. ( 2pm-close)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, children and parents
- Lead activities for both pre-school and school aged children
- Actively supervise and interact with the children in our care
- Model effective approaches for leading group activities
- Model effective approaches for handling difficult behaviors
- Manage front-desk duties, including answering questions from families, assisting in the registration process, checking children in/out, and processing payments
- Provide feedback or raise questions/concerns to the Director or Owner
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Must have High School Diploma
- Available to work Saturdays, we can be flexible with other days
- Minimum 1 years of experience working with children ages 2.5 thru 12 years old
- Meet the STARS requirement and be listed in the state training and registry system
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats
- Interpersonal communication skills that demonstrate warmth and empathy for children and adults
- Comfortable using technology
- Energetic, fun and reliable
- Strong organization skills
- Cleared background check
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- Proof of MMR vaccine, or cleared titer test
- CPR / First Aid
- Food Handler’s Permit
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
