Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients
- Manage engagement efficiently by timely assignment, supervision and review of work; conducts timely billing on all engagements for which he/she is responsible
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to other accountants
- Prepare and review complex personal, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and stay current on regulatory and industry changes affecting clients
- Maintain and service existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business
- Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients.
- Build client relationships and manage client expectations with enthusiasm and leadership.
- Ensure timely filing of all client-related tax returns and documents
- Generate new business opportunities within the current client base and outside of our network.
- Research tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
- Respond to federal and state tax notices that impact clients, and represent clients in any potential tax audit
- Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
- CPA, EA, or JD certification
- 5+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting
- Strong experience with individual taxation (high net worth)
- Strong problem-solving, logic and reasoning capabilities
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to remain organized and prioritize under time-sensitive and challenging conditions
- Ability to translate complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
- Developed public accounting management experience
- High proficiency in technology and applicable software programs
- Collaborative team player
- Management experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
