In the 60 years since inception the company has grown to over 125 employees producing over 2.4 million pallets a year. The company continues to grow and is looking for a top tier candidate to operate forklift/yard jockey at the Lehighton, PA Plant
Overview:
General oversight of all trailer positioning and loading on outbound product. Position also performs random quality control audits on finished products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper workflow by monitoring production equipment to keep the finished goods lines empty and raw material lines full.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Performing heat treating process
- Help improve current processes through various LEAN techniques
- Jockeying trailers as needed to keep shipping process moving
- Adhere to Remmey safety standards at all times to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a forklift operator
- Leadership experience is a plus but not required
- Able to work 4:00 pm to 2:30 am Monday- Thursday
- Experience performing yard jockey work is a plus
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (LOTO, PPE requirements, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to work on your own with minimal direction
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of situations in an efficient manner
- Ability to meet deadlines
