Key Requirements and Qualifications

Certification: Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate in Secondary Mathematics (Grades 6–12) in accordance with Louisiana Department of Education guidelines (Bulletin 746).

Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or a related field.

Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience is frequently preferred.

Content Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Louisiana Student Standards for Mathematics, including algebra, geometry, functions, statistics, and problem-solving, as well as curriculum implementation.

Skills: Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills; effective classroom management; ability to use data-driven instruction to improve student achievement.
