Responsibilities
- Lead structured swimming lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills through clear instruction and hands-on coaching
- Monitor participants closely to ensure safety at all times, enforcing pool rules and behavior management strategies
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate fun activities, drills, and progress assessments to motivate learners
- Maintain a clean, organized pool area and ensure all safety equipment is in good condition
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or facility staff regarding swimmer progress and safety concerns
- Support the development of additional water-related skills such as lifesaving, rescue techniques, or sports coaching when appropriate
Skills
- Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in water safety roles is highly valued
- Strong background in sports coaching, teaching, or physical education with an emphasis on swimming or martial arts such as Karate or Judo
- Proven ability to work with children and manage behavior positively in a group setting
- Knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety protocols, and emergency response procedures
- Experience in childcare or working with students of diverse ages enhances your effectiveness as an instructor
- Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus for understanding fitness-related training approaches
- Excellent communication skills combined with enthusiasm for teaching physical activities like basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or other sports

This position is an on demand position mostly afternoon and weekends
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
