Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and loaders.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and diagnostic devices to complete repairs efficiently.
- Assist with tire service, alignment procedures, air brake systems, shocks & struts replacement, and other vehicle maintenance tasks for trucks and trailers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a mechanic in heavy equipment environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking.
- Familiarity with heavy truck repair, diesel engine repair, HVAC systems for vehicles/equipment, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment and safety protocols related to heavy lifting and equipment handling.
- Certification or experience in operating forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients.
Pay: $27.04 - $32.56 per hour
