As an Event Management Intern, you’ll take the lead on event-day operations, manage a student team, and help ensure our concession services run smoothly at NC State’s biggest games and entertainment events. Key Responsibilities
Pre-Event Preparation:
- Collaborate with NC State Site Leadership to organize pre-event logistics and team planning
- Lead or assist with training sessions to prepare your team for success
- Coordinate with EATS2SEATS managers and NC State staff to align on goals
- Review inventory, equipment, and materials to ensure readiness
Event-Day Operations:
- Serve as the on-site lead, managing student staff and ensuring smooth operations
- Provide support and real-time coaching to your team
- Troubleshoot problems and resolve them efficiently to maintain a strong guest experience
- Enforce all safety and health policies in accordance with venue regulations
Post-Event Duties:
- Oversee event closeout, including clean-up and inventory tracking
- Collect feedback from teammates and clients to inform future improvements
- Submit a post-event report detailing performance, wins, and areas for growth
What You Bring to the Table
- A strong work ethic and passion for leadership and teamwork
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stay composed and make decisions under pressure
- Availability to work weekends, nights, and event days
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or event work is helpful but not required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule
Part-time, event-based shifts — mostly on weekends. Internship credit may be available depending on your academic program.
