What You’ll Do
- Respond rapidly to emergency calls, assess medical situations, provide care, and transport patients safely to medical facilities.
- Work overnight shifts (often when less support staff is available)—you’ll be someone people depend on.
- Maintain high standards of care and safety: clean, inspect, and restock your rig; document reports thoroughly; collaborate with other teams (fire, hospital, law enforcement) as needed.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, medical staff, and patients—compassionate bedside manner is just as important as technical skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid EMT certification/license in this state
- Current CPR/BLS (and other advanced life support credentials, if applicable)
- Clean driving record; ability to drive safely under stress
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift, maneuver, and be active throughout long overnight shifts
