Full Job Description

SPECIAL EDUCATION RESOURCE TEACHER
JOB DESCRIPTION

Serves as teacher of record for students on caseload

Creates and implements lesson plans

Works with individual students or small groups of students on IEP

goals either in the general education classroom or resource
classroom

Coordinates and holds case conferences for students on caseload

Writes IEPs and shares IEP information with appropriate teachers

Quarterly progress monitoring of goals for students on caseload

Serve as special education support within their building

Serve on the MTSS team

Ensure accommodations and modifications are understood by

classroom teachers and being implemented as written in the IEP

Serve as testing proctor for students who require

accommodations

Serve as TOR for private school students

Provide observations across various settings to assist in the

evaluation process

Evaluated by building administrator
