Position Summary
The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) seeks a detail-oriented and customer-focused Admissions Assistant to join the Advancement team as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will support the admissions and enrollment process, serving as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective families. Working closely with the Director of Enrollment Management, Advancement team members, faculty, administrators, and families, the Admissions Assistant will help ensure a seamless, responsive, and mission-aligned admissions experience while supporting the School's enrollment goals and fostering meaningful relationships with prospective and current families.

Established in 1974, The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) & Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) is a vibrant and exceptional independent Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School institution in the Triangle area serving 400+ students aged 15 months through 18 years. Our Montessori programs for Toddler - Upper Elementary students (15 months - grade 6) are located on a beautifully-designed campus situated on 10 acres in North Raleigh, comprising five buildings in a child-centered, village-like setting surrounded by wetlands and protected forest. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Guides and supports families throughout the MSR admissions process from inquiry through enrollment.

Partners to schedule MSR Admission events on- and off-campus.

Evaluates and oversees in the admissions pipeline from inquiry, campus tour, and application submission, through review of student’s application including scheduling all Admission assessments, and partnering with Admissions Committee to determine acceptance to the school.

Maintain accurate candidate data and application stages within Veracross to support pipeline reporting.

Cultivates relationships with feeder schools and organizations to support enrollment at MSR.

Conducts interviews and tours with prospective MSR families, as needed.

Travels to job fairs and off-site admissions events to promote MSR and grow enrollment.

Collaborates with Director Enrollment Management in cultivating and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with sending schools

Partners with Chief Advancement Officer, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, Associate Director of Admissions, Director of Marketing & Communications, faculty, and HOS in generating ideas and approaches to strengthening retention.

Partners with Chief Advancement Officer, Director Enrollment Management, Associate Director of Admissions, Director of Marketing, Communications & Strategic Initiatives, faculty, and HOS to execute admission and retention plans and strategies.

Assists in conducting annual perception assessment surveys of all families who enroll, decline,or withdraw.

Assists in conducting annual exit interviews with families who leave the school voluntarily.

Collaborates with others in ongoing work to define “mission appropriate.”

Other duties as assigned by the Head of School or Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management.
