We provide Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP). IOP related experience a plus. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct detailed mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine patient needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing issues like grief, trauma, PTSD, addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and co-occurring disorders.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage urgent situations with effective crisis management and behavior management techniques.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), ensuring adherence to clinical ethical guidelines and medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, social workers, case managers, and families to coordinate care plans that promote patient recovery and well-being.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), marriage and family therapist (MFT), or equivalent credential required.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in clinical settings; experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, or hospital environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-focused approaches.
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms and clinical documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience with inpatient care or hospital settings is a plus.
