Thermal Heat Technician - Bed Bug Specialist
Company: EarthRite Pest Control
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $42,000.00 – $73,500.00
Why This Role Matters
A bed bug infestation is one of the most stressful, exhausting things a person or family can go through. People lose sleep, feel embarrassed, and often feel helpless — until someone shows up who knows how to make it right. That someone will be you.
As a Thermal Heat Technician, you don't just treat homes — you give people their peace of mind back. Every job ends with a family that can rest easy again, and you'll see that relief firsthand. This is meaningful, hands-on work for someone who genuinely cares about helping others and takes pride in a job done right.

What You'll Love About This Role:
- You make a real difference. You'll walk into homes where people are struggling and leave them a safe, comfortable place to live again.
- Your effort is rewarded. This is active, hands-on work, and we make sure hard workers earn what they're worth.
- Room to grow. We offer real paths into senior and leadership roles for people who show up and deliver.
- Full training provided. We give you the tools, training, and support — you bring the drive and the heart for helping people.
The Work Itself
Thermal heat treatment is rewarding, active work — this is a role for people who like to stay moving and finish the day knowing they earned it. On the job, you'll:
- Work in and around warm treatment environments as we heat spaces to the temperatures that eliminate infestations for good
- Set up and operate our equipment — heaters, high-temperature fans, generators, and cords — which means comfortable lifting and carrying throughout the day (often 50 lbs or more)
- Move and reposition furniture, mattresses, and belongings to prep each space for a complete treatment
- Stay active on your feet — bending, reaching, and moving through the home as you work
- Load and unload equipment from the service vehicle at each stop
- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) every day - it keeps you safe on the job.
We're upfront that this is a physically active, hands-on job — and for the right person, that's exactly the appeal. If you're in good shape and you'd rather be moving than sitting at a desk, you'll feel right at home here.
