Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Access Supervisor to lead our patient access team within a dynamic healthcare environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations of patient registration, scheduling, and financial clearance processes to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive medical office experience, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management systems. By supervising staff and coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, the Patient Access Supervisor will uphold compliance standards such as HIPAA and JCAHO regulations while fostering a patient-centered approach.
Duties
- Supervise Inpatient Admitting and Surgical Registration.
- The Supervisor, Patient Access, manages the day-to-day operations & provides technical & administrative leadership of the front-end revenue cycle.
- These responsibilities include: appointment scheduling, patient registration, front-end cash collection, patient authorization & other duties, as assigned.
- Reviews work schedules & assigns duties to insure optimal patient flow & production goals.
- Oversees & evaluates accuracy & quality of technical functions.
- If applicable, ensures high quality patient flow/care.
- Adheres to & supports the policies, procedures & standards of care.
- Ensures compliance with protocols & procedures.
- Plans & prioritizes work assignments.
- Supervises various personnel functions including recruitment, schedules, coaching & discipline
Must Have:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years minimum in a supervisory role
- EPIC experience
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends or evenings and be ok with on call 1-2x a week

- Front-end cash collection and patient authorization
Shift Timings: 7AM-3:30PM, M-F
