Automated Dairy Systems Technician
WG Dairy Supply is an agriculture service and solutions-based company in Creston OH, St. Henry, Ohio and Jonesville, Michigan. WG Dairy Supply is focused on providing the most innovative products and support for the dairy and livestock industry in Ohio and bordering states, to serve, impact, and engage farm teams every day.
WG Dairy Supply is seeking an individual for employment for the installation and service of robotic and traditional milking and cooling equipment. This position will be based out of our Jonesville MI or St. Henry OH location to serve the needs of agricultural (primarily dairy) and commercial operations throughout Southern and Central Michigan, Eastern IN and Western Ohio. We are looking for a team player who is service-oriented and possesses mechanical aptitude; skills with, electrical wiring, plumbing and robotics experience are preferred but not required. We are looking for driven, purposeful individual with passion to provide solutions to our customers. Training will be provided.
Typical Duties:
- Full Time position to provide leadership to the installation and service of agricultural products represented by WG Dairy Supply. Some of these products and services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Traditional and robotic milking systems and components
- Refrigeration components of new/used milk tanks and cooling systems.
- All components of new and remodeled milk harvesting equipment
- General and automated livestock feeding equipment, fans, manure systems, lighting.
- Complete electrical wiring and installation in barns and farms
- Install plumbing for dairy and other livestock operations
- Account for time spent on jobs and material used in performing duties
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
· Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment as provided by WG Dairy Supply
· Basic computer abilities with proficiencies in oral and written skills
· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Promptly attend required trainings to receive pertinent certifications for on-call scheduling
· High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; Associates degree preferred
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
