Position Overview:
As a Retail Security Officer with Industry Security Services, Inc., you will be at the forefront of our commitment to safety and loss prevention. Your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure retail environment, deterring theft, providing excellent customer service, and responding to security concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular patrols within the retail store to prevent and detect theft and vandalism.
- Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities.
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence to customers and staff.
- Act as a point of contact for customers and staff, offering assistance and answering security-related questions.
- Handle security incidents and emergencies professionally and efficiently.
- Enforce store policies and regulations as needed.
- Create detailed incident reports when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or training in security is a plus).
- Proven experience in retail security or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Familiarity with security equipment and technology.
- Current DPSST Security Guard License required.

Additional Requirement:
Pursuant to ORS 36.620, you will be required to sign an arbitration agreement upon hire.
