Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain high levels of food safety and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support menu planning by preparing components for daily specials and seasonal offerings
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Assist with catering events and large-scale meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, supporting the overall food service experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting colleagues
- Kitchen experience in restaurants or catering settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
