Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform routine procedures such as phlebotomy and vital signs monitoring.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment findings.
- Manage acute and chronic health issues, providing appropriate treatment and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Stay informed about current best practices in family medicine, including knowledge of workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and physical examinations.
- Experience with coding for medical billing purposes is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Background in emergency room (ER) settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
