American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and an active AZ OT license in hand prior to start

Acute care hospital setting

Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
-
Daily caseload of 8-11 patients
-
No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
-
Cerner charting system used, experience preferred
-
Business casual dress code
-
40 hours per week with facility allowed up to 6 call-offs during the 13-week assignment

Active AZ OT license required in hand prior to start (license required if applicable)

AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card required

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required

Manual therapy certification preferred
-
Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Skills in acute care, ADLs, adaptive equipment, discharge planning, and patient/family education
-
Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and general acute/chronic disorder populations preferred
-
First-time travelers accepted
-
Provide occupational therapy services across a range of conditions including CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, amputee, orthopedic, and neurological cases
-
Perform evaluations, assessments, reassessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation
-
Conduct fall/risk assessments and standardized assessments
-
Assist with community re-entry and home assessment planning
-
Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols
-
RTO must be approved by the facility in advance
-
No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation
-
Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays
