Associated is a premier commercial janitorial contractor delivering clinical-level, high-standard environmental services across the Mid-Atlantic region. We do not just clean; we manage facility health and contract compliance using structured, modern "Team Cleaning" methodologies and state-of-the-art equipment protocols. We are seeking a decisive, high-caliber Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee contract compliance and operational standards for our municipal portfolio in the City of Newport News.

You will facilitate nightly walkthroughs, safety audits, and performance tracking. This is not an office job. You will be in the field, systematically auditing facilities, training local supervisors, and translating weekly inspection reports into actionable nightly cleaning plans to lock in absolute consistency.

- Inspections: Conduct inspections, nightly quality control walkthroughs of select municipal facilities, documenting and rectifying service variances before client business hours.
- Audit Management: Turn weekly inspection reports into daily, focused cleaning objectives for frontline crews.
- Safety & SDS Oversight: Ensure 100% OSHA compliance, maintaining active Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in all janitorial closets and verifying proper chemical dilution and labeling.
- Methods Training: Train and audit frontline staff on Associated's structured "Team Cleaning" methodologies (specialized routing for Restroom, Vacuum, and Utility specialists).
- Client Interface: Act as a professional, reassuring liaison for municipal building managers and the Contracting Officer when resolving rapid-response requests.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of supervisor or quality control experience in large-scale commercial cleaning, municipal contracting, or facility management.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a background check
- Technical Savvy: Proficient with mobile inspection software, automated check-in systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
- Knowledge Base: Deep familiarity with OSHA standards, GHS hazard communication (SDS sheets), and Green Seal certified sustainable practices.
- Schedule Flexibility: Primarily evening and night shifts (coinciding with janitorial operations), with occasional morning follow-ups for client walk-throughs.
- Driver's License: Clean driving record (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided for site-to-site travel).
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
