Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical condition and its impact on daily living, well-being, and quality of life
- Interpret assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic techniques to improve performance in ADLs and IADLs
- Assess home and living environments; recommend modifications and adaptive equipment
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations
- Participate in required meetings and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active/valid Texas Occupational Therapist license
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies
- SNF/long-term care experience preferred
- Knowledge of current treatment practices
- Experience with Net Health EMR preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
