Grooming Manager needed for busy shop located in the Memorial area of Houston.
Definition
The Lead Groomer is an experienced dog stylist that also exhibits leadership characteristics.
Primary Job Duties
The lead groomer responsibilities:
- Ensure the bathers are bathing the dogs in order and are distributed evenly.
- Ensure that groomers are effectively communicating with clients and that sales are accurately reflected on the notepads every day
- Ensure they are there at opening of the business and seeing up for the day which includes putting the dogs for the day on the board, shampoos are made, communicating with the front desk if we can take more dogs for the day
- Communicate with clients any concerns they have with grooming and help to resolve issues.
- Handle all questions regarding grooming
- Ensure all of the work going out meets the standards of The Pet Barber
- Ensure all groomers are running on time for the day and if not, ensure clients are aware that their dog may be past anticipated time.
- Ensure that groomers, and bathers do their daily/weekly cleaning tasks.
- Communicate with groomers’ seasonal packages
- Meet with manager every other week as needed to discuss updates/concerns
- Communicate with manager materials and supplies needed
Must have exceptional grooming portfolio and at least two years of supervisory experience.
Pay is 60% commission on all your grooms.
