As our practice continues to expand, we are seeking an additional Eyewear Consultant / Optician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending fashion, healthcare, technology, problem-solving, and patient service into a rewarding career.
Our Eyewear Consultants do much more than sell glasses. They serve as trusted advisors who help patients select eyewear that fits their lifestyle, visual needs, and personal style while ensuring every patient leaves feeling confident and cared for.

What You'll Be Doing: Patient Eyewear Consultations
- Help patients select frames, lenses, and lens enhancements that best fit their needs and lifestyle
- Educate patients on premium lens technologies and vision solutions
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the eyewear purchasing process
- Accurately measure, fit, dispense, and adjust eyewear
Optical Operations
- Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Operate in-house lens edging equipment (training provided if needed)
- Assist with quality control and inspection of incoming eyewear orders
- Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and help resolve patient issues professionally and efficiently
Inventory & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with frame inventory management and merchandising
- Receive and reconcile vendor invoices
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Help keep the optical department organized, attractive, and well-stocked
Team Support
- Answer phones and assist patients as needed
- Schedule appointments and support front desk operations when necessary
- Verify vision insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver an outstanding patient experience

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- 1–2 years of optical experience
- Experience selling premium products or working in a consultative sales environment
- ABO certification or Florida Optician licensure is welcomed but not required
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a fairly consistent weekly schedule (subject to change with advanced notice):
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Sunday: OFF
