Role Purpose
The Warehouse & Fulfillment Specialist is a full-time, in-person role at Slow Pour Supply, responsible for the hands-on picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders, including forklift and pallet jack operation to move and stage inventory safely. Working under the direction of the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist, this role helps keep our shipping and fulfillment operations accurate, efficient, and safe, while supporting order platform updates and drop-ship processing. This role is well suited to someone with hands-on warehouse and fulfillment experience who is ready to take on greater ownership, with room to grow into a Warehouse & Inventory Specialist role.

Key Responsibilities
Fulfillment Execution
● Retrieve items based on invoices or shipping lists, verify the quantity and type of items, and pick with accuracy.
● Label, sort, and package items safely for shipment, including careful handling of fragile items, maintaining high-quality standards across all fulfillment types.
● Determine appropriate shipping methods for materials using established shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
● Support the shipping team in verifying outbound shipments against orders, invoices, and manifests.
● Acknowledge and support weekly processing of drop-ship orders as needed.
Warehouse & Inventory Support
● Assist the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist with cycle counts, stock organization, and discrepancy reporting.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fulfillment area in line with warehouse safety protocols.
● Help monitor shipping supply levels and flag replenishment needs to the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist.
● Safely operate a forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stage, and organize inventory.
Order Platform & Documentation Support
● Maintain an accurate database of shipments so customer orders stay updated and properly documented.
● Adjust open orders as needed - including cancellations, exchanges, or fulfillment holds - using our shipping and ordering platforms, under guidance from the Customer Success team.
● Flag recurring fulfillment issues or order discrepancies to the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist for resolution.
Safety & Team Collaboration
● Work as part of a team and contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
● Follow established protocols and workflows, and support onboarding of new warehouse team members as needed.
● Bring observations and suggestions for process improvement to the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist.
Competencies
● Strong digital proficiency, including e-commerce and shipping platforms (e.g., Shopify, ShipStation, SAP/WMS), with the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
● Cost-conscious and highly organized, with strong attention to detail; able to balance multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
● Skilled in fragile and delicate item handling, using appropriate packing materials and techniques to prevent breakage in transit.
● Able to work independently, investigate the root cause of issues, and follow through with corrective actions.
● Demonstrated leadership ability, with willingness to mentor and support fellow warehouse team members.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written, contributing to a safe and collaborative work environment.
● Good time management and punctuality.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and iOS (Mac).
● Ability to stand for several hours and safely lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
● Current forklift certification required.
Candidate Should Possess
● A desire to grow into a Warehouse & Inventory Specialist role over time.
● A love for people and coffee!
● Minimum 2 years of previous shipping, warehouse, and/or inventory experience required.
● Forklift certification is required.
● OSHA 10 Certification required.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, full-time, in-person, non-exempt.
Starts 7:30am
Specific shift hours to be discussed based on fulfillment volume and shift coverage needs.
