The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning operations at an assigned facility, ensuring high performance, client satisfaction, and full compliance with service agreements. This role provides strategic leadership, manages staff, and serves as a liaison between the client, operations teams, and internal leadership.
The Supervisor ensures all cleaning activities—daily, weekly, monthly, and project-based—are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract and site-specific requirements.

Account & Client Management
- Serve as a point of contact for the client regarding all cleaning services within scope.
- Lead service reviews, communicate performance metrics, and resolve concerns or escalations.
- Oversee end-to-end cleaning operations, including:
- Specialized/project work (e.g., floor scrubbing, tile removal, furniture moving).
- Plan, schedule, and ensure proper execution of all cleaning activities.
- Coordinate with Cleaning Leads to maintain workflow efficiency and appropriate coverage.
Leadership & Team Management
- Directly manage Cleaning Leads and indirectly oversee all site cleaning personnel.
- Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all operations adhere to site safety requirements, including:
- Use of PPE
- Chemical handling procedures
- Working at heights (ladders, MEWP)
- Coordinate with correct parties on compliance with approved procedures for specialized tasks
- Participate on safety initiatives, audits, and investigations with collaboration from ABM Safety management team.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and scheduling for project completion.
- Reporting & Communication
- Ensure accurate documentation of all scheduled and project-based work.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience supervising leads and large teams.
- Strong understanding of industrial/commercial cleaning operations and safety standards.
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk job sites and perform inspections regularly.
- Capability to occasionally support or observe physical cleaning activities.
- Comfort working in industrial environments and around equipment.
Work Environment
- Industrial or manufacturing facility environment.
- Combination of office-based management and field oversight.
- Involvement in both routine operations and reactive/project-based services.
Success Metrics / KPIs
- Quality inspection results (completion of inspection rounds)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, time management, inventory control, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Associates degree preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in semiconductor industries preferred.
